Yesterday on our walk at the park...Jameson asked. "what did the earth look like before people". I said it looked a lot like the woods. Then he asked..."where did people come from"... Jim and I were floored! I said that this an incredible question and that we really don't know but a theory is that we evolved from Apes.. He thought about it and said he would keep that question in his pocket. I feel like I am in the presences of greatness!

I love inquisitive kids. Asking questions should be fun as well as thought-provoking!
Just one thing to clear up. The evolutionary theorists say not that we evolved "from" apes, but that apes and humans likely shared a common ancestor, and their lines evolved separately. It may seem small, but the difference is important!
I wonder if he's asked why the sky is blue yet. ; ) There are some great explanations to be found off google. ^_^
Dan and I actually sent in DNA samples to the National Geographic Project and we have our reports that show which paths our ancestors took. This project shows that the line that became humans came from southeastern Africa. It's amazing to think about and what questions from our little guy!
