Today's Birthday!

It was an incredible day! the day was warm and filled with friends and my son. Bowling and lunch with the Busby's and in the afternoon a walk to the playground and library. I am so incredibly lucky and grateful to have my amazing family and life. Thank you universe and family in the sky.

It was so fun getting outdoors to play in the snow with my family! I love the way Daddy loves to play with us. He is fun and silly with Jameson! Jameson made a perfect little snowboy with perfect round snowballs!

My new table!

I am so happy and excited to get a breakfast nook. Jameson and Jim did a great job putting it together. I absolutely love having my boys in the kitchen and a nice place for them to hang out with me! Yea!! my fam in the kitchen!

my 36th birthday

Not to bad for 36. However, I can definitely, tell a little age beginning to show. For example, the other day when I was at work, I caught myself in the window reflection and i didn't even know who that grown women was! I thought "Wow!, I am no longer a kid but a grown women! i think also made me mature by having dress properly for work.

Had a really great birthday. I was bummed that we didn't get into Momochos but in the end we found a really great Sushi restaurant, Ginko, thanks to Julie with beautiful glass artful wall and really good sushi. Then to top it all off we found a really awesome cupcake and cookie bakery!! the cupcakes were homemade!!! Which of course makes them perfect. I am bummed we didn't get a picture at the restaurant but I think I was a little nervous about the flash but i also think i was distracted by delicious Sushi!

Strawberry Pie

This was fun! Jameson and I made this together. The crust turned out amazing. We forgot to poke holes in the crust and turn up the oven. However, our mistakes made an awesome thick fluffy crust! the only thing i might change is to add some lemon zest and cut the large strawberries in half. (oh i guess that is two things)

Potatoes, Ham, Carrots: half cup water, veg cube, salt pepper, one and half tablespoon honey. slice carrots, cube ham and quarter potatoes! This turned out so tasty! It was sweet and salty. I came up with this recipe out of what I had left in my kitchen.
since we are going to adopt this year, I am trying to be conscious of our spending. although I didn't do well, today because my son and I went out to panera for lunch and spent to much because we had to order another You Pic Two because we didn't like our first order! then we went to Hienens where I bought a shower puff for Jameson and a new juice drink that has chia seed beads in them that look fun and tastey. Two we really didnt need but looked interesting to both of us!

Brought snow inside for Jameson since he was to sick to go out. he loved it and created some great castles with cups!

Writing letters and pictures in flour. After we finished making our pie crust I let jameson draw in the flour. he did a great job making letters and pictures of his family.

I made Mediterranean and Indian food tonight! it was so good! I really enjoy the creativity of cooking. It is just like art. You get get to create a eatable masterpiece!
